Good morning lovely readers! My apologies for the late post, I couldn’t sleep last night so I only got about 4 hours in. I have three polishes for you today from ALIQUID Lacquer‘s Two Pleasant Peninsulas collection, and they are stunners! Allison, the maker, was inspired by the state of Michigan, so you could say that this collection is a sort of “love letter.” Click through to see more pictures and hear what I think!
ALIQUID Lacquer Cherry Festival is described by the maker as a bubblegum pink crelly with red and silver-green hexes, plus gold shimmer and flecks. In my opinion, the gold shimmer and flecks totally takes this polish into awesome territory! This 3 thin coats with OPI top coat, no troubles with formula or glitters.
ALIQUID Lacquer Wolverine Loves Spartan is a white crelly with matte green, blue and yellow hexes. If you don’t know how much I love a good white crelly by now, well, let me refresh your memory! I love a good white crelly! LOL! The combination of colors in this polish is really lovely, and I think perfect for summertime. This is 3 thin coats with OPI top coat. It does finish a bit uneven, so I’d recommend 2 coats of top coat.
Lastly, my favorite, ALIQUID Lacquer Yooper. The maker describes this as a dark green jelly full of flecks of green, blue, gold and brown, plus holographic sparkle. This is meant to invoke the wild forests, cold lakes and mountains of the Upper Peninsula. I’m really in love with this color! This is 2 easy coats with OPI top coat. First, inside pics:
Lastly, Allison also sent me one of her lip balms for this collection in maple. The scent on this balm is so incredible, it’s a wonder I haven’t chewed my lips off! Seriously though, for $2, the balm is a steal and your lips will feel wonderful!
There are also 5 more nail polishes in this collection, head to ALIQUID Lacquer’s etsy store to see the rest! I’d love to know what your thoughts are on these three polishes, please comment below. Later today, I’ll have “feathers” prompt for the OMD2 Nail Art Challenge, so until then,
