5 Easy Manicures for July 4th

2014 favorite button | Be Happy And Buy PolishGood morning everyone! It’s going to be a great week, I hope. At least this week will end on a holiday for those of us in the U.S.A. Don’t you just love when that happens? ๐Ÿ™‚

Today I have 5 fairly easy manicures for July 4th. I hope this gives you some inspiration! Click through after the graphic for all 5ย manicures and a short explanation of how I created them! Don’t forget to pin them if you like them!

First up is a saran wrap manicure with Revlon Midnight (blue), Revlon Persuade (red), and Revlon Bare Bones (cream). I started off with a base of Midnight on my pointer finger and Persuade on my other fingers. I then dipped saran wrap in Bare Bones and blotted it on my fingers. I went back over again with the correct colors for a bit more depth. I wanted it to look like a faded flag, almost.

Next is a fan brush manicure. I started off with a base of Sinful Colors Snow Me White. Then dipping my fan brush into first SC Pur Rouge (red), I applied thin brush strokes over each nail. I then repeated the process with SC Burning Bright (blue).

I then decided to make it sparkle a bit and applied a coat of SC Smokin’ Hot over the top. To be honest, I like this one so much, I’ll be doing it again for the 4th!

Next is a simple stripe manicure. I started off with a base of OPI Alpine Snow on all fingers but my pointer finger, which I used 2 coats of OPI Russian Navy Suede on. Then using a long skinny brush, I dipped it in OPI Over and Over A-Gwen and freehanded stripes down each nail. Lastly, I applied 3 star studs on my pointer finger.

Next up is a manicure that was inspired by this cakeย (found via CakeWrecks Sunday Sweets). I started off with painting two coats of Verity Hot Baby Blue on my pointer and pinky fingers. On my middle and ring fingers, I started with two coats of Jessica Sharktooth. Then using Sephora by OPI High Maintenance, I swirled it over Sharktooth. Lastly, I applied random blue dots with Hot Baby Blue.

Lastly is a sparkly re-creation of my current pedicure. The idea was suggested to me via a blogger friend (Becky at Naked Without Polish). I started off with two coats of Color Club Beyond, then I layered Finger Paints Peacock Portrait and OPI Minnie Style over the top of it. I was trying to go for fireworks in the dark sky.

  2. I love fireworks, so the fireworks mani was my fave. However, you’ve inspired me to try saran wrap & the fan brush techniques!
