Sally Hansen Color Foils (partial collection)

press sampleGood morning, lacquer lovelies! I hope your weekend is going swimmingly so far. I’m looking forward to a better day today than yesterday. After the awful migraine I had all day yesterday, today can only be better, right?

Today I have three of the Sally Hansen Color Foils for you: Leaden Lilac, Minted Metal, and Titanium Flush. Let’s see them together:

Just a minute to talk about formula: I was really pleasantly surprised by how smoothly these went on. My friend Dani at From Polish with Love had a few great tips on applying these polishes, which I followed. (She also has some great nail art with these polishes you should check out!) I had no problems at all! I like these a lot better than I liked the OPI Push & Shove chrome polish. All swatches show with 2 coats, no base or top coat.

Sally Hansen Leaden Lilac is a blue-toned purple, or a periwinkle. It actually reminds me of cornflower blue.

Sally Hansen Minted Metal is a great mint/aqua-ish green that I had the darndest time getting a picture of. Hence, why this picture is outside in the fading sunset.

Sally Hansen Titanium Flush is striking pink. I’m not usually a pink fan, but I do like this one. This does show a bit brighter than it is in person.

All in all, I’m really happy with these, and I plan on picking up more from the collection. What are your thoughts on these three? Have you picked up any from the collection? Let me know your thoughts!

  1. I bought Minted Metal last month. I have had nothing but trouble with it. The color isn’t green it’s aqua, the formula was super duper streaky and patchy and it showed every nail flaw and then some. I’ve tried it 3 times and I have taken it off immediately 3 times. How in the world does everyone get such beautiful pics and mani’s from this? I must have gotten a bad bottle. I’m going to give it one more try after I go check out the tips. I really want to love this polish. I did pick up the gold and the silver for stamping but haven’t used them yet. I love the idea of a chrome polish, but I am struggling so much with this one.

    • Oh man! It sounds like you are having the same kind of problems I had with OPI Push & Shove. 😦 I just hated it, when everyone else had such wonderful manis with it! Definitely try out Dani’s tips, I hope they work out for you. Let me know how it goes!

  2. To be honest, I hated Push & Shove. THE WORST FORMULA EVER. I want to love it, but I don’t!! Your swatches of these 3 are beautiful and I love Minted Metal on you!! I really hope my tips helped you, your application on these are beautiful!!!!
