Good morning all my wonderfully amazing readers! I hope you are having a great day so far. 🙂 Today I have a few beautiful polishes from Ellison’s Organics, a new-to-me indie polish brand, specializing in handmade organic and natural bath, body, and nail products. Click through after the collage to see all six beauties up close!
I’ve used OPI base coat for all swatches, and Ellison’s Organics top coat (which I’ll briefly talk about at the end of this post).
Prairie Paintbrush is a peach orange nail polish. A little brush-strokey for me, personally, but I know others don’t mind that. This polish and the next polish had a few dark specks in them, which the maker has been made aware of and is fixing the issue. This is 2 coats.
Showdown at the O.K. Corral is a pink/red nail polish that freaked out my camera a bit! It was also a bit brush-strokey. This is 3 coats.
Cast Your Care-ibbeans Away is a gorgeous sky blue jelly-ish polish. My favorite of the bunch! This is 2 coats.
Swing Shift is a fun top coat that shifts from blue to red to purple. A really nice topper! This is 1 coat over Cast Your Care-ibbeans Away.
The Rain in Spain is a gorgeous blue/purple polish with sparkly bits. My second favorite, even though it is slightly brush-strokey. This is 2 coats.
Lastly is Chim Chim Cher-ee, a dark grey/brown/charcoal nail polish. I love vampy colors like this! While I was applying, it seemed a bit thinner than the other polishes. This is 2 coats.
Just a note about Ellison’s Organics top coat: it flowed onto the nail easily, wasn’t too thick, and I noticed that it had a lesser “chemical” smell than most other top coats that I’ve used.
You can keep up with Ellison’s Organics by liking their Facebook page, or following them on twitter. Of course, don’t forget to ‘favorite’ their shop on etsy! I’d love to know your thoughts, so please leave a comment below!
