Good morning to you lovely readers! I hope you are having a spectacular day today. Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer is releasing the April Showers collection this coming Sunday at 3p.m. EST. There are six polishes in this collection: Dogwood, Peruvian Lily, Cherry Blossom, Purple Phlox, Lady Slipper, and Hydrangea. I have two to show you: Cherry Blossom and Purple Phlox. I’ve used OPI base & topcoats with both of them.
Cherry Blossom is a pastel pink crelly with a teal to purple shift. This has got to be a record – the first time that I really liked a soft pink polish! The shimmer was so hard to capture, but it totally makes this polish come alive. I did find the formula on this to be a bit thick. Without topcoat, it has almost a satin-y finish. This is 3 coats.
Lightbox, no flash:
Purple Phlox is a purple crème with blue to purple iridescent micro glitters. Once again, the glitters were so hard to capture but they were definitely there! A really beautiful spring polish. This is almost a jelly-like consistency. This is three coats.

The April Showers collection will be released this coming Sunday at 3p.m. EST. Julie will also be restocking a few of the Core Line, Winter Collection and Valentine’s Day collection polishes. Keep her shop bookmarked, and you can stay up-to-date with her on Facebook, instagram, and pinterest.
Just a note from the maker: Please note, sadly, my cost of production has increased due to the rising prices of raw materials. As such, I have had to increase the cost of future collections. All old collection polishes will retain their old pricing. From here on out, the new pricing structure will be $8.50 for glitters/cremes/shimmers, $12 for shifters/duos/holos, and $13 for LEs.
I have to say that I’m really digging on this collection, just based off these two polishes. Julie was going for soft colors with unique shimmers giving a vibe of florals coated in rain, and I think that’s a perfect description. I’d love to know what you think of these two! Let me know in the comments. Until tomorrow,
