Above the Curve Doctor Who nail polish, part one

purchased myself buttonGood morning everyone! How is your week going so far? I’d like to crawl back into bed and pull the covers back over me; as that’s not going to happen, let’s look at some beautiful polishes this morning! Above the Curve‘s Doctor Who collection part one is a stunner of a collection. Let’s take a look after the jump (because I have a gajillion pictures!).

Just a note on formula, across the board the formula was the same on all except The Silence: just a bit thin, so you need to be careful not to flood your cuticles. The Silence was just how I personally prefer polishes: a bit thick but not too much so; just enough to control the flow onto the nail.

Above the Curve “Donna” is inspired by Donna Noble’s hair (naturally). It is a red-orange base polish with scattered holo, but it has this pink shimmer to it. While I loved this polish, I just didn’t feel it went with my skin tone very good. Ironic since I’m also a redhead. This is 3 thin coats with OPI base & top coats.

Above the Curve “Relative Dimensions” is a gorgeous grape-y purple with scattered holo. I absolutely adore this polish! This is 3 thin coats, with OPI base & top coats.

Above the Curve “Slitheen” is a green-brown polish with scattered holo. If you had told me before this polish that I would like a swampy green polish, I would have told you that you were crazy! But this polish is amazing! It also has this great green glow. This is 3 thin coats, with OPI base & top coats.

Above the Curve “The Silence” is a midnight blue-black scattered holo polish. It reminds me of a starry night; in low-lights reminds me of The Silence’s suits they wear. This is 2 regular coats, with OPI base & top coats.

I’m not sure that I can pick a favorite here, but I think it’s Slitheen. Or The Silence. What do you think of this set of polishes? Tomorrow I will have part two of Above the Curve’s Doctor Who line, and you can see 6 more pretties!

You can purchase this collection at Above the Curve’s big cartel store, and keep up with them on Facebook and instagram. $1 from each polish is donated to Shriners Hospitals for Children (pretty awesome if you ask me!).

I have also added about 70 more polishes in my storenvy, and would love your help in getting them cleared out. I added indie & mainstream brands, including: A Englands, piCture pOlish, Lucky 13 Lacquer, ILNP, YouPolish, Hare Polish, Maybelline, OPI, Orly, L’Oreal, and a whole lot more. You can find my storenvy store here. Until tomorrow,
