Get Lucky Nail Art Challenge: Shades of Green

Good morning! It’s the first day of our Get Lucky Nail Art Challenge, and it’s shades of green for today.

I started off with 2 coats of OPI Alpine Snow. Then using just Alpine Snow and OPI Here Today Aragon Tomorrow, I created the shades of green! Using striping tape, I applied the shades on my nail, the darkest being Here Today Aragon Tomorrow by itself:

Even though it kind of reminds me of the paint swatches you get from a home improvement store, I actually really like the look of this. It just goes to show you what you can accomplish with only 2 nail polishes!

Let’s take a look at the other nails for today:

I hope you like these nails! Until tomorrow,

  1. They do look like paint strips but that’s awesome. I’m a complete beginner when it comes to nail design. I never thought about mixing colors together. Could you make a post on how you mix them?

    • Thanks so much! The color mixing was actually pretty easy! I just started with my darker color, and added a small amount of white, then mixed it up with a toothpick and applied with a nail art brush. Then keep adding white to it as you go for a lighter and lighter color. 🙂

  2. I love that you made the shades for the different gradient tones yourself. 🙂 It looks lovely. Also I don’t know if I’ve said this before, but I really like the design of your blog. Very crisp and organized!

Thanks for commenting, I love hearing from you!
