FingerFood’s Theme Buffet #1: Animal Print

Good afternoon everyone! I’m starting another challenge, FingerFood’s Theme Buffet – but this is a laid-back weekly one, every Sunday. šŸ™‚ While I enjoy and like the challenge of daily link-ups, they can be a bit stressful. So I’m definitely up for this kind of challenge!

The first prompt is animal print, and I confess I’ve cheated a bit by picking an insect print. I hope the other ladies won’t mind! I knew I wanted to use I Love Nail Polish’s Mutagen as a base, and once I saw it, I couldn’t get the image of a beetle out of my head.

First let’s take a look at my base color: ILNP Mutagen. This is 3 thin coats, for evenness’ sake.

Isn’t this just super pretty? I went searching for a jeweled beetle picture to use, and came across this one. So to create the pattern, I then used ILNP A.C. Slater.

Now, I know I’ve overloaded it with the pictures, but I’m totally in love with the pretty! What are your thoughts? Let’s see what everyone else has come up with by clicking the blue frog below:

Until tomorrow,
