#25 of 33DC – New Technique

Good morning everyone! I hope your Monday is going alright so far. I’m so excited to show you this manicure today! I decided to try out water marbling, and if you’re following me on instagram, you’ve been able to see some sneak peeks. I used this tutorial from Lacquerish and this one from Mucking Fusser. Of course, Mucking Fusser’s tutorials are amazing, but I really liked the tutorial from Lacquerish as well – it was really helpful. The only thing I would do differently is to use a wider bowl or cup instead of a narrow solo cup.

Okay, onto the manicure! I’ve started off with a base of Wet ‘N’ Wild A Blank Canvas. I then used A Blank Canvas and Caribbean Frost (Wet ‘N’ Wild as well), and Sally Hansen Grey Area and

I’m not going to apologize for all the pics, nope, no way – because I’m almost giddy with how my first water marble came out! I smudged my middle finger on my left hand – so that’s the only oops that I have. I love how the shimmer of Caribbean Frost kind of made all the other colors “glow”. I’m so excited to try water marbling again!

I know you want to see more cool manicures, so click the blue frog below:

What do you think about my water marbling? Have you ever tried it? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

Until tomorrow,

  1. Congrats, it looks awesome :). My first water marbling attempt was a lot messier, got some bubbles and what else. Few next attempt failed and therefore I stopped doing it for a while. When I picked it up again, I was more pleased πŸ™‚
