butter LONDON Rock Your Colour Makeup Review: Part Two

Good afternoon! This is part two of my review of butter LONDON’s new product line: Rock Your Colour. If you missed part one, check it out. It consists of 5 new lacquers, and a range of eyeshadows, cream blushes, mascaras, eyeliners, lippys, and lippy balms. butter LONDON kindly provided to me, for review,  some of each from the new line. This post will feature a more neutral look than what I featured this morning. All products used on my face are butter LONDON, except for: bb cream and powder, eyebrow gel & powder.

I’ve already reviewed and shown you the eyeshadow, blush, and lippys, so I will review the second set of eyeliner and mascara in this post. This post features Wink Eye Pencil in Union Jack Black ($18), and Wink Colour Mascara in Brown Sugar ($20).

The eye pencil was again, smooth and creamy, and I had no problems with application. The color is described as jet black creme.

The mascara was awesome. Do you know how long it has been since I have found a true brown mascara – not a brown/black? butter LONDON describes this color as a chocolate brown. Unlike the Inky Six mascara from part one, I had no problems applying this mascara, and it did not flake during the day or when I removed it.

Here is the swatch of both the eye pencil and the mascara:

For today’s more muted look, I applied the Inky Six eyeshadow messily on my eyelid, then used my fingers to blend it across the whole lid. I did not use a second coat – and unlike in part one, my lids did not look wrinkly or crepey. I once again used Honey Pie blush; and both Abbey Road lippy tinted balm and Dandy Bubbles lippy, except I started with Abbey Road, with a swipe of Dandy Bubbles on top.

Let me know what you think of this look! I look forward to your comments. For me, the standouts in terms of value for your money are: Brown Sugar Wink Colour Mascara, Honey Pie Cheeky Cream Blush, and Abbey Road Lippy Tinted Balm. Out of the other colors I’ve seen, I’d really love to try out: Jaded Jack nail lacquer and eye pencil, Pistol Pink mascara and nail lacquer, Brown Sugar eye pencil and nail lacquer, Union Jack Black nail lacquer, and every single lippy tinted balm. Which colors are looking forward to buying?
