May Challenge, Part Three: Inspired by the Beach

Good morning! I have to share with you today part three of the May challenge from the Hobby Polish Bloggers group. Here is part one and part two. Next up is inspired by the beach! Now, since I’ve been to an actual beach perhaps 4 or 5 times in my 30+ years, this was actually a hard challenge for me. I kept thinking about the beach, and what I remembered about the beach; but since I have an awful memory, this ended up with hazy memories floating through my thick skull. I decided to boil down it down to sun, sky, surf, and sand. I started off with 2 coats of Sinful Colors Snow Me White, simply to make the other colors really “pop”; photo without flash:

I must say that Snow Me White has fast become my new favorite white polish. Application was really great and dry time was fairly quick.

Next I added a small circle in the corner of each nail with Orly Melodius Utopia; without flash:

What makes me laugh is at this point I looked at my nails and saw eyeballs – if I had simply grabbed a black color and painted a dot on each nail, we’d be looking at a totally different manicure!

For the sky, I used OPI’s What’s With the Cattitude. Photo is without flash:

Next up I used Maybelline Color Show in Navy Narcissist for the surf and Zoya Jules for the sand.

I really love how this turned out. The curve of the design makes me think of a wind-swept beach. It works either way as well. What do you think of my nails this time around?  Be sure to check out the other nails in the challenge by clicking the blue frog below:

I hope you have a great Thursday!
